Falb Fees Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs are one of our favorites here at Whiskey Tango Farms. FUN FACT: Did you know that Falb Fee Coturnix Quail are nicknamed “Fairy Quail”?

They have a similar plumage pattern to a Pharaoh quail but the Fee gene has resulted in all color to be stripped away, leaving a bird with only black, white, and gray coloring. Some may have a small amount of warm or brown tones as well but overall the appearance will be a grayscale bird. Similar to the Pharaoh pattern, around 3-4 week of age, this variation is feather sexable. Roosters will have plain white ventral (bottom/chest) plumage and hens will have a black speckled appearance in ventral plumage. If you are a looking for an easily feather sexable bird but want something just a little bit different from the Pharaoh/wild type plumage, this would be an excellent addition to your covey!
