Jumbo Egyptian Hatching Eggs

If you are looking for a large bird with something that sets them apart from the rest, look no further! Our Jumbo Egyptians are the same base pattern as our Jumbo Pharaohs but with a dash of reddish color added in, thanks to the Roux gene. As one of our feather sexables, by 3-4 weeks, roosters will display mostly plain, rust-colored ventral (underside/chest) plumage and hen ventral plumage will appear to have a black dot pattern. As part of our Jumbo line, these birds consistently average over 12 ounces at full maturity which is 10 weeks after hatch. Typically with sufficient lighting and nutritional needs being met, hens will begin laying eggs around 6-7 weeks after hatch. The size and consistent laying tendencies of this variation allow it to be an excellent choice to be a dual purpose addition to any farm or Coturnix hobbyist.

*Please note that these birds may have the Sexlink brown gene which will present on some birds. To most folks, this does not matter and is very difficult to detect. It does not affect the health, weight or taste of the bird.
