Our Pearl Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs are a customer favorite! Sometimes this variety is referred to as Pearl, Pearl Fee, Perl or Perl Fee. If you enjoy the lighter colors of Coturnix, you will love the Pearl color variation from Whiskey Tango Farms! Typically you will have birds with mostly white plumage, sprinkled with black speckles throughout the dorsal (upper) plumage. You may also see some brown speckles intermingled with the black speckles but most of them will be black. This feather sexable variation will present with males having an all white chest and females having black speckles on the chest. Males will exhibit a brown face mask whereas females will show a black face mask. This color variation can sometimes take a little longer to feather sex so you can expect to tell gender around 3-4 weeks of age based on the plumage.
